GREAT DELIVERANCE FROM THE UNLIMITED GOD (PART 2)
JUNE 14, 2025
TEXT: Acts 16:16–40
KEY VERSE:
“Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken… and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.” — Acts 16:26
Paul and Silas were on a mission to preach the gospel, but they ended up in prison. Not because they broke the law, but because they cast out a demon from a girl who was being used to make money for her masters. These men were wrongly accused, beaten, and thrown into a dark inner cell. Their feet were fastened in stocks, and there was no human hope of getting out. But Paul and Silas did not complain. Instead, they began to pray and sing praises to God at midnight. The other prisoners heard them, and so did God.
Suddenly, there was a powerful earthquake that shook the prison to its foundations. All the doors opened, and everyone’s chains came off. The prison guard, waking up and thinking the prisoners had escaped, wanted to kill himself. But Paul shouted that no one had left. This led to the jailer asking, “What must I do to be saved?” He and his whole household gave their lives to Jesus and were baptized the same night.
This story teaches us that God’s deliverance is not just about setting us free—it’s about bringing others into freedom too. Paul and Silas were not only saved from prison, but their trial also became the doorway for salvation in the jailer’s family. God used their pain to reveal His power and to spread the gospel. Just like the kidnapped girl in Part 1, God may not always stop the hardship, but He shows up in the middle of it with undeniable power. He shakes the foundations of what holds us captive and brings total freedom—not only for us but for others connected to our story. That’s what makes Him the Unlimited God.
IMPORTANT LESSONS LEARNED:
📌 God can use our pain as a platform to reveal His power.
📌 Praising God in hard times invites supernatural intervention.
📌 True deliverance affects others, not just ourselves.
📌 No prison—physical or spiritual—can hold back those who trust in God.
📌 Midnight may be dark, but it is never too late for God to act.
In conclusion, don’t forget that the Unlimited God is not only able to open prison doors but also to use our darkest moments to bring light to others.
SEARCH LIGHT: God doesn’t just set people free—He turns every prison into a place of praise and purpose.
PRAYER: Lord, turn every prison in my life into a place of praise, purpose, and divine breakthrough.
