LIVING UNDER THE LORD’S CONTROL (2)
April 15, 2025
TEXT: Romans 12:1-2, James 4:7-8
KEY VERSE: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
John’s life was filled with success, but it lacked purpose and meaning. One day, he met a friend who shared the message of Jesus Christ, and John found himself drawn to God’s Word. He started living under God’s control, praying for guidance and seeking to obey God’s commands. When a difficult situation arose at work, John chose to stand for what was right, trusting that God’s ways would lead to unexpected blessings. John’s decision paid off. Not only did he keep his job, but his boss gained a newfound respect for him. As John continued to live under God’s control, he found that his life was filled with peace and joy, and that his priorities had shifted. He no longer chased after material success, but rather sought to use his talents and abilities for God’s glory.

In the same way that John experienced God’s blessings when he surrendered his life to God’s control, we too can experience these benefits. The acronym ‘CONTROL’ reminds us of the areas of our lives that are enhanced when we allow God’s love and wisdom to guide us. As we move into Part 3, let us reflect on the practical ways we can begin to live under God’s control and experience the abundant blessings He has promised to those who seek Him.
SEARCH LIGHT: Living under God’s control requires constant effort and commitment, but the benefits are profound, including peace, joy, clarity, and purpose.
