EMBRACE EXCELLENCE

TEXT: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might…” — Ecclesiastes 9:10

God created every one of us with purpose. Just as our physical DNA determines who we are, God has also placed within us a spiritual potential. Inside every believer is the ability to do well and to live a life that honors God. Excellence is part of God’s design for us, but we must choose to develop it.

Excellence simply means doing your best for God and always striving to improve. It is about becoming better today than you were yesterday—in your work, studies, ministry, and daily life.

To live a life of excellence, we must change the way we think. Some people believe they cannot grow beyond where they are, but God wants us to understand that we can learn, improve, and increase. When we focus on learning and obeying God, excellence naturally follows.

Excellence does not happen by accident. It comes from good choices, hard work, and discipline. The choices we make every day shape our future. When we desire excellence, it helps us stay focused and committed to doing what is right.

We can build excellence in our lives by:

1. Keeping good company
“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise.”
— Proverbs 13:20
2. Believing and obeying God’s Word
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
— Proverbs 23:7
3. Being diligent and disciplined
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings.”
— Proverbs 22:29

Jesus Christ is our perfect example of excellence. The Bible says of Him, “He hath done all things well.” God is not careless, and He does not expect careless living from His people. We should avoid mediocrity and always give God our very best.

Begin to see yourself the way God sees you. Believe that God has placed something great inside you. When you understand this, you will be able to live the excellent life God designed for you.

SEARCHLIGHT: Excellence means always doing your best for God.

PRAYER: Father, help me to discover and use every gift and ability You have placed inside me.

BIBLE READING: Exodus 39-40; Leviticus 1 & Romans 2
