CHRIST REVEALED IN ALL
MAY 20, 2026
TEXT: “And whatever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father through Him” (Colossians 3:17).
Today’s teaching is meant to correct certain misconceptions that Christians and believers tend to have. Many times, we try to segregate our lifestyle into various forms and levels. There are areas that we actively commit into God’s hands due to the enormity of those areas, while there are other areas where we feel we can actually depend on our own strength and wisdom. Invariably, many fail to communicate with God regarding these areas.
The Christian life is not divided into the spiritual and the ordinary. Thus, according to Paul, every aspect of our lives, ranging from our actions, choices, relationships, and speech, should be done to the glory of Jesus and must therefore be committed into God’s hands.
God is very interested in everything that pertains to us, including the very things we feel are trivial and insignificant. He desires intimate fellowship with us. He wants us to address and relate with Him like a true Father-and-son relationship. Because of this, all we do must be done in such a way as to honour the very God we claim to love and call “Abba Father.” Of course, you would not want to disregard a person you love.
We are Christ’s ambassadors on earth. An ambassador always desires to do what pleases his country as a representative in another country. Because we are Christ’s ambassadors on earth, it is expedient that we keep Him abreast of all we do in a bid to ensure that we are in alignment with His will.
KEY FACTS
- Let your words honour Christ in all things. Your speech must be seasoned with grace. Your words must reflect Christ. Before you speak, you need to ask yourself if Jesus would be honoured by those words of yours.
- In all you set out to do, make sure Christ is honoured. (Matthew 5:13-14)
- Involve God in even the smallest of things, e.g., eating, studying, friendships, business, conversations, etc. Nothing is trivial in the sight of God. (Colossians 3:17).
SEARCHLIGHT: Whether we live, it is unto the LORD, and whether we die, it is also unto the LORD.
PRAYER: O LORD, help me to live in compliance with Your will and desire, in Jesus’ mighty name.
