EVANGELISM AS A LIFESTYLE (2)

EVANGELISM AS A LIFESTYLE (2)

SEPTEMBER 26, 2025

TEXT: But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: (1 Peter 3:15)

As we continue to explore the concept of evangelism as a lifestyle, it’s essential to understand that our daily lives are a reflection of our faith. Just as a tree is known by its fruit, so too are we known by the way we live our lives. When we genuinely live out our faith, it becomes contagious, and people around us can’t help but notice the difference.

Authenticity is key to effective evangelism. When we are genuine in our faith, it shines through in our words and actions. People are drawn to authenticity, and it’s what sets us apart from those who merely talk about their faith without living it out. As believers, we must strive to be authentic in our walk with God, ensuring that our lives reflect the teachings of Christ.

Christians are often described as the aroma of Christ to those around us. Just as a pleasant fragrance can attract people, so too can our genuine faith draw others to Christ. It’s not about being perfect but about being authentic and allowing God’s love to shine through us.

Living out our faith means more than just attending church services or participating in religious activities. It involves integrating our faith into every aspect of our lives, including our work, relationships, and daily interactions. When we do this, we become a living testimony of God’s love and grace, and our lives become a powerful witness to those around us.

The Importance of Meekness and Fear

The Bible instructs us to give an answer for the hope that is in us with meekness and fear. Meekness is not weakness but rather a gentle and humble approach, while fear refers to a reverence for God and a recognition of His sovereignty. When we share our faith with meekness and fear, we do so with respect for others and a deep awareness of God’s presence in our lives.

As believers, we must regularly examine our lives to ensure that they reflect the teachings of Christ. We should ask ourselves questions like: Do people see the love of Christ in us? Does our lifestyle align with our profession of faith? Are we living in a way that honours God and draws others to Him? These reality checks help us stay grounded and focused on living out our faith authentically.

Evangelism as a lifestyle is not just about sharing our faith; it’s about living it out in every aspect of our lives. When we do this, we become a powerful witness to those around us, and our lives become a testament to the transformative power of God’s love. Let us strive to live out our faith authentically, reflecting the love and grace of Christ in all that we do.
