FAITHFULNESS ATTRACTS GOD’S REWARD

TOPIC: FAITHFULNESS ATTRACTS GOD’S REWARD
TEXT: Esther 8:1–6
KEY VERSE:
“And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman” (Esther 8:2).
Many people today are so focused on becoming successful that they are willing to do anything to reach their goals—even if it means hurting others or breaking rules. Sadly, some even believe their success is a blessing from God, even when their methods are wrong. But true blessings come from being faithful to God, not from selfish or dishonest actions.
In today’s Bible reading, Haman had planned to wipe out the Jews. But after Esther fasted and prayed—encouraged by Mordecai—God turned the situation around. Haman was eventually hanged on the very gallows he had prepared for Mordecai. Still, the law to destroy the Jews was still in place. Esther bravely went to the king again and reminded him of how Mordecai had once saved his life by exposing a plot against him. Though Mordecai wasn’t rewarded at the time, that good deed helped change his life later. King Ahasuerus gave Mordecai the position once held by Haman and the authority that came with it. Esther continued to plead for her people, and the king allowed the Jews to defend themselves.
This story shows how faithfulness to God brings blessings. We don’t serve God just to get rewards, but He never forgets our efforts. The Bible says, “God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love.” When we give our best to please God, He blesses us in ways far greater than we can imagine.
SEARCH LIGHT: God never forgets faithful service. Even if others overlook it, your obedience today will bring His reward at the right time.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, help me to remain faithful in service and obedient to Your will, trusting that You will reward in Your perfect time.
