TEXT: Ezekiel 37:1–14

KEY VERSE: “So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.” —Ezekiel 37:10

Ezekiel was taken by the Spirit into a valley filled with dry bones—lifeless, scattered remains of a people who once lived but had long since died. These bones were not only dead but very dry—completely beyond hope in human terms. Spiritually, they symbolized Israel’s despair during their exile: a people who felt forsaken, forgotten, and cut off from the promises of God.

When God asked, “Can these bones live?”, the prophet responded with humility and faith: “O Lord GOD, You know.” That’s the turning point. What seems impossible to man is always within the realm of God’s power.

God’s command to Ezekiel was simple yet profound: “Prophesy to these bones… speak My Word.” As Ezekiel obeyed, a miraculous transformation began. The bones came together. Flesh formed. And finally, by another divine command, the breath of life—the Spirit of God—entered them. What was once a valley of death became a living, breathing army.

This passage shows us the pathway to revival: the faithful declaration of God’s Word and the life-giving power of His Spirit. Revival doesn’t start with outward emotion but with inward submission to God’s voice and a hunger for His breath. Even when situations seem too far gone, God can restore, renew, and raise us up.

In Conclusion, no matter how spiritually dead, broken, or hopeless things may seem, God is able to bring life where there was none. His question still echoes today: “Can these bones live?” The answer is yes—but only through His Word and by His Spirit. Don’t give up in your valley. God specializes in resurrection.

SEARCH LIGHT: There is always hope in God—even in the driest valleys. His Word revives, and His Spirit breathes life. If you hear His voice and welcome His breath, your dry bones can live again.

PRAYER: Lord, I open my heart to Your Word and Your Spirit. Revive what is dead in me, restore what is broken, and raise me to stand strong again. I trust You, even in the valley. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
