TEXT: Romans 12:1-2, James 4:7-8

KEY VERSE: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Over the course of our past two studies on living under God’s control, we’ve discovered that this lifestyle offers us clarity, peace, and guidance. Today, we want to focus on the practical aspects of living under God’s control. By revisiting the acronym ‘CONTROL,’ let us explore how each of these aspects applies to our daily lives.

C – Commit to a daily prayer life, seeking God’s guidance and strength.
O – Open your heart to the Bible, allowing God’s Word to transform your thoughts and actions.
N – Nurture your relationships with other believers, finding encouragement and accountability in Christian community.
T – Trust in God’s authority over your life, submitting to His will and the authority of those He has placed in positions of leadership.
R – Remain ready for Christ’s return by practicing self-control and obeying His commands, regardless of the challenges you face.
O – Overcome sin through confession and forgiveness, asking God to transform you into the person He desires you to be.
L – Listen attentively to God’s voice, seeking His will for your life and following His leading, even when it may require sacrifice and surrender.

Let us not grow weary in doing good, but instead press on towards the goal of living under God’s control. Let us embrace the acronym ‘CONTROL’ as a guide for how we can live each day fully surrendered to God’s will, trusting that He will lead us in the way everlasting.

Today, I challenge you to take a step towards living under God’s control. Identify one area in your life where you are currently struggling with obedience or surrender. Pray for God’s guidance and direction, and then take action to align your life with His will. May you experience the fullness of God’s blessings as you choose to live under His control.

SEARCH LIGHT: Nurturing our spirits and minds with God’s Word helps us grow in our faith and develop a deeper relationship with God.

PRAYER: Dear God, grant me the wisdom and discernment to know Your will for my life.

BIBLE READING: 1 Chronicles 11-13, 2 Corinth 6.
