MY FUTURE IS BRIGHT

TEXT: JEREMIAH 29:11, REV. 21:1-7

KEY VERSE: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (JEREMIAH 29:11)

Many people face uncertainty about their future, feeling overwhelmed by challenges and doubts. Yet, as believers, we have a firm foundation for hope. God’s Word assures us that His plans for us are good, filled with promise and purpose. Just as the sunrise brings light to a new day, God’s presence illuminates our path forward. His plans are not to harm us but to prosper us, giving us a future filled with hope.

IS YOUR FINAL FUTURE BRIGHT? (Revelation 21:1-7)

1. Are you gathering for the vanity of this world?
The whole world and all its admired vanities shall be destroyed. This destruction will affect the billions and trillions of galaxies that God created. “There was no more sea,” John saw it done already, showing it would surely happen! Only 30% of the earth is land mass, and about 70% is made up of sea. Yet everything will perish. How will this happen? 2 Peter 3:7 says by fire. No builder or house owner would want to destroy something good and grand when there is no better option. All the alluring beauty of the earth is vanity compared to heaven. The world has no bright future. Be wise!

2. Are you getting ready for the value of heaven?
Rev 21:2-7
While the earth is described as vanities, heaven is greatly valued. Why? The Apostle could only give a vague description of the New Jerusalem. It can never be correctly imagined by any mortal, as stated in I Corinthians 2:9. Why? The description is beyond what a mortal mind can grasp, no matter how spiritual. The following give a fair food for imagination: It is the place where the Triune God will live eternally. Can you imagine the best city or structure that the supernatural God can ever build? Wonders of wonders reflecting the power and the might of the incomparable God: “no tears,” “no death,” “no sorrow,” “no pain.” Can you imagine a perfect city prepared for perfected people by the all-perfect Potentate, producing perfect pleasure for God’s people perpetually? Try to imagine if you can. Who are those to be so privileged? He that overcomes. There is no victory without battle or warfare. Life is all about battles. You are either a victim or a Victor. Which one are you? How many things in heaven will God be willing to release to each of His children? “All things” without exception.

SEARCH LIGHT:
Focus on God’s faithfulness and promises. Meditate on Scripture daily, and as you prosper in all things here, so shall your soul prosper and find eternal rest in the future.

PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for Your promises of hope and peace. Help me trust Your plans, even when the path ahead seems uncertain. Guide me by Your Spirit, and fill me with confidence in the New Heaven.
