PERSUASIVE EVANGELISM (2)
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.” – 2 Corinthians 5:10-11.
As ambassadors of Christ, we have been entrusted with the incredible assignment of rescuing the perishing through sharing the Gospel of salvation. Persuasive evangelism is the effective way of fulfilling this Great Commission. Paul was persuasive when he shared the Gospel with his own generation. Peter’s persuasive preaching won about three thousand souls on the day of Pentecost. Philip achieved a great feat for the Lord in Samaria through no other means.
Before we share the Gospel with others, we must first remember that we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. This reality should motivate us to live lives worthy of our calling and to share the Good News with urgency and passion.
