TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE
TEXT:
“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” – Matthew 11:12 (KJV)
As we journey through life, we’re reminded that the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. This scripture encourages us to be proactive and intentional in pursuing our goals and dreams.
To take charge of our lives, we must focus on several key areas. Building strong character is essential for success. It’s not something we’re born with, but rather something we develop over time. Many successful individuals throughout history have attributed their success to their strong, positive character.
Our heart is the center of our decision-making. As Proverbs 4:23 says, “For out of the heart comes the issues of life.” This means that our success or failure, and even our defeats, start in the heart. When we take charge of our heart, we’re able to align our decisions and actions with our true values and goals.
Our attitude plays a significant role in determining our altitude. As John Maxwell said, “Attitude, not aptitude, determines your altitude.” This means that having a positive, proactive mindset is crucial for achieving our goals.
The people we surround ourselves with can either support or sabotage our journey. We must be mindful of who we let into our lives. Just as a ship sailing through the ocean requires careful navigation, we must be careful about who we allow on board.
We often take our gifts and talents for granted or fail to fully develop them. Taking charge of our gifts means exploring our passions and using them to make a positive impact on others.
Our emotions can sometimes override our logical thinking. As our spiritual father once said, “Emotion is stronger than knowledge.” This means that we must be aware of and in control of our emotions to make the best decisions and achieve our goals.
In conclusion, taking charge of our lives requires intentional effort and focus on these key areas: character, heart, attitude, relationships, gifts, and emotions. As we take charge of our lives, we’ll be able to cope with challenges, persevere, and ultimately triumph.
SEARCHLIGHT: Life is full of challenges, but taking charge of our lives and embracing our inner strength will help us overcome them.
