THE POWER OF PERSISTENT AND CONSISTENT PRAYERS

THE POWER OF PERSISTENT AND CONSISTENT PRAYERS

APRIL 1, 2025

Prayer, as we know, is one of the potent tools that believers utilize to communicate with and make their petitions known unto God. Prayer is not a “one-off” affair. It is something that must become a regular engagement for us in order to be constantly connected to the father. This is because the essence of prayers is not just for us to receive gifts and material things from God,but to Fellowship with him.

Jesus highlighted three principles of prayers in our given text which believers must incorporate into their day-to-day life, such as:

ASKING: We must specifically and clearly present our needs unto God. God is the giver of all and He surely knows all we need, even before we ask. However, God wants us to specifically present our needs to Him in faith, believing that He has done it already.

SEEKING: To seek means to try to locate something. We must seek God in prayers, not just because of what he can offer us, but also because of our personal desire to know his will & his ways, and align ourselves with them. He gave us the assurance that we will surely FIND when we SEEK.

KNOCKING: No one suddenly opens a door for a person who has not knocked, except something urgent or special warrants such. Knocking reflects desire to gain access or entry into a place. Knocking means persistence, endurance and perseverance in the place of prayers, especially when the windows of heaven are seemingly shut and everything seems to be against a person. The word of God for you this morning is to continue KNOCKING and the DOOR shall be OPENED. Never relent!

SEARCHLIGHT: Let not prayer be an occasional activity for you. Persistent prayer is needed to overcome persistent and stubborn battles.

PRAYERS: O LORD, help me to tarry constantly in your presence, in the name of Jesus
