THE TRANSFORMATIONAL TOUCH OF JESUS CHRIST

THE TRANSFORMATIONAL TOUCH OF JESUS CHRIST

AUGUST 25, 2025

TEXT: “When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.” (John 9:6)

When we talk about the touch of God, it means God coming triumphantly into a person’s life and situation. It refers to the supernatural intervention of God when all other hopes have totally failed and when no solution is seemingly in sight.

There are some situations a man may find himself in where all hope has seemingly been lost. Many conventional methods may have failed, and it looks as though the person is doomed thereafter. However, the supernatural touch of God is needed at such a juncture, and there is no way you can receive this touch and your life will still remain the same.

In the text under consideration, a full reading of the chapter reveals the plight of a man who was born blind. This means he had never seen a single thing since birth. He had always sat by the roadside among the beggars, and it was almost certain that he would die in that miserable condition. However, when the Healer came, he received the divine touch that propelled his life forward, gave him supernatural turnaround, and brought a mysterious change of story.

This is the case in the lives of some of us today, and it is my earnest prayer that the mighty hand of God shall come upon our respective situations this morning, in Jesus’ mighty name.

SIGNS THAT A PERSON NEEDS DIVINE TOUCH

  1. When one keeps trying all he could physically but no specific progress is being made in life, such a life needs a divine touch of transformation. The woman with the issue of blood, according to the Bible, had tried every possible means within the knowledge of man, but all failed until she “touched” and received a transformational touch from the Saviour (Luke 8:43–48).
  2. When one is surrounded by destiny helpers but still helpless. A person needs this touch if surrounded by personalities that can uplift his destiny, yet they do not even seem to notice him at all. Such a person needs the supernatural touch of God to clear away every obstacle before his destiny helpers.
  3. When one’s life becomes a haven or arena for demons (Luke 8:2; Mark 16:9).
  4. When “promise and fail” is the order of the day.
  5. When one is constantly experiencing satanic and polluted dreams.
  6. When one is totally isolated from prosperity and testimonies.
