THE TRANSFORMATIONAL TOUCH OF JESUS CHRIST (3)

THE TRANSFORMATIONAL TOUCH OF JESUS CHRIST (3)

AUGUST 27, 2025

TEXT: “When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.” (John 9:6)

Today, we shall conclude our series on divine touch that occasions transformations in all areas. Let’s take a look at more biblical examples of individuals whose lives benefited from this divine touch:

  1. Jacob (Israel): Jacob’s destiny was hindered by the fact that he had not yet walked into his divinely-ordained identity. He had been carrying a false identity. However, his life received the transformational touch of God, and his name was changed to Israel during his “wrestling” encounter with the angel at the River Jabbok, thereby setting a new guideline for his destiny. (Genesis 32)
  2. Jairus’ daughter: Jairus, a leader of the synagogue, had issues with his daughter who was sick and later died. When the Great Deliverer was brought into the picture, He released the touch of transformation upon the deceased little girl — and the rest is history, as they say. (Mark 5:41–42)
  3. Paul: The great apostle was once a chronic persecutor before he had a divine touch from the Lord on his way to Damascus. (Acts 9)
  4. Jeremiah: At the point of his call, Jeremiah was unwilling and afraid until God touched his mouth and said, “See, I have put my words in your mouth.” That touch was enough to propel him into his prophetic ministry. (Jeremiah 1:9)
  5. Peter’s mother-in-law: This woman had a terrible fever when she came in contact with the Lord Jesus Christ. However, the touch from the Master transformed and healed her. (Matthew 8:14–15)

HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR SUPERNATURAL TOUCH

  1. Pray and carefully petition the Master about your areas of need.
  2. Be humble. Do not be concerned about the mode of the divine touch. To receive this touch, Jesus may ask us to take unusual steps (e.g., the blind man in John 9, when Jesus spat and mixed the spittle with clay to anoint his eyes).
  3. Obey relevant instructions that may be necessary to bring about the supernatural touch.
  4. Mingle constantly with the brethren to receive insight on better ways to connect with God for this supernatural touch.

SEARCHLIGHT: The transformational touch of God is ever available to change and re-order the pattern of one’s life.

PRAYERS: O Lord, do not pass me by in the move of Your supernatural majesty, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
