THE UNCONVENTIONAL CHOICE OF GOD
March 4, 2025
TEXT:* _But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart._ (1 Samuel 16:7)
Today’s discussion focuses on how God makes key decisions. God does not take decisions the same way we do. Ordinarily, if a normal human being wants to make a decision, there is every tendency that he will do so based on physical and tangible attributes. For example, anyone who wants to appoint a prefect in a school setting will consider factors such as brilliance, height, neatness, and social status, among many others. However, God pays no attention to conventional factors in choosing someone to occupy a position.
*Ephesians 3:1-6*
The mystery from the above verses is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the grace of the gospel.
This is an example of how grace qualifies the unqualified. God’s grace saves and calls people to a holy calling, not because of their works, but because of his own purpose. Grace is God’s favor and gift to those who have sinned against him for definite salvation. It is a power that offers and secures assurance of eternal rest for man. It is God’s grace that announces the choice of God.
SEARCHLIGHT: When you are qualified, you are qualified! Nothing else can hinder your manifestation.
PRAYER: O LORD, let divine grace single me out, in Jesus’ mighty name.
