TOO LATE TO MAN, RIGHT TIME TO GOD (2)
DECEMBER 30, 2025
TEXT: Luke 7:11-15
KEY VERSE: And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. (v. 13)
Yesterday, we discussed the importance of holding on steadfastly to God without shaking or wavering in these last days of the year 2025. We also learned that God does not work with human timing. When human help seems to be the only available help for a person, God steps in to prove His omnipotent nature in the life of such a person. Miracles are activated by many factors, one of which is compassion. In verse 13 of our text, we were told that when Jesus saw the woman, He was moved with pity, and that was the beginning of the woman’s joy. The God of the eleventh hour is not limited by any factor whatsoever (talk of weather, finance, timing, intellect, etc.). It might look as if all is lost. You might be in a case of perpetual cluelessness. However, just one utterance from God is enough to solve your case.
In the case of the widow of Nain’s son, the burial rites were already in progress. They were probably already commencing the various rituals that characterised death in the land. However, the destiny changer Himself appeared and turned the story of the mother around positively. The major point from here is that the woman’s hope was supernaturally restored at a time when it had just been recently dashed. In the same vein, God can equally rework the unbalanced equations of your life and destiny before the new year. As you approach the end of the year, have it in mind that God’s timing is usually the best for you. It may appear late at times, but God is fully in control. His timing is not accidental, random, or erroneous. It is perfect and precise. (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
If God has not blown the final whistle, the game of your life goes on. Lateness in our sight is timeliness in His sight.
SEARCHLIGHT: Man looks at the clock while God examines the covenant He has with you.
PRAYER: God of 11th hour miracle, God of suddenness, give me a miracle that will leave me dumbfounded, in Jesus’ name.
BIBLE READING: Genesis 38-40, Acts 13
