WAR AGAINST DESTINY ABORTION

TODAY IS VALENTINE’S DAY: VENERATE YOUR ONLY ONE LIFE AND DO NOT VANDALISE IT
TEXT: “Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.” (Genesis 49:3-4)
To abort means to hinder the manifestation of something at its preliminary or initial stage. When a person’s destiny is aborted, it simply means they are unable to actualize their potentials. Beloved, we dwell in the midst of evil men and women. The earth is inhabited by much wickedness, cruelty, and harshness. There is no mercy in the dictionary of the enemy, and that is why, as children of God, our motto is “NO MERCY FOR THE WICKED”. The devil is never happy to see a child of God manifest his/her divine destiny. He orchestrates ways to cut short such destinies. Having been thrown out of heaven, his main assignment is to recruit sons and daughters of God into the club of those who, like himself, have no tangible destiny to manifest any longer. Many are walking on the streets today, looking healthy, contented, and seemingly happy, but in reality, have already had their destinies aborted by the evil one. Destiny is a very sacrosanct subject matter. It is the real purpose of our living and existence. When a person’s destiny is aborted and they take no physical steps to recover it, such a person will continue leading a useless, irresponsible, and unfulfilled lifestyle.
WAYS BY WHICH DESTINIES MAY BE ABORTED
- Sexual perversion: There is nothing delightful about pre-marital and extra-marital affairs. It is only a pathway to destiny abortion. Many young ones are just roaming the streets today, completely empty, used, siphoned, and sifted like wheat, all due to their loose sexual lives. No unlawful sex comes cheaply. You are definitely losing something in exchange for the pleasure, but you don’t know. Sleeping with someone who isn’t your spouse is tantamount to doing cross-multiplication and cross-exchange of demons. Both parties exchange the demons present in them. From our given text, Reuben was born glorious and destined to take over the mantle of leadership in his father’s house. Who knows if he could have even taken part in the genealogy of Jesus Christ, but unfortunately, he lost that privilege to Judah and even lost his birthright to the sons of Joseph. All through the Bible, we hardly find any significant positivity about him. It was pure reference to his act of incest and sexual abomination all the time. His own father even placed a terrible curse on him, making his case even more disastrous. How about Samson too? (Judges 16)
TOMORROW, WE SHALL DELVE DEEPER INTO THE SUBJECT MATTER
SEARCHLIGHT: Guard your destiny from compromise, especially on Valentine’s Day, which can lead to destiny loss, perversion, and pollution. You are valuable to God and shouldn’t be swayed by fleeting pleasures.
PRAYERS: O LORD, if my destiny has been compromised in any way, cause a divine turnaround to happen, O LORD, in the name of Jesus.
