WHEN GOD INTERRUPTS YOUR PLANS
FEBRUARY 2, 2026
TEXT: Acts 9:1–6
KEY VERSE: “And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” — Acts 9:4 (KJV)
Sometimes God interrupts our plans not to punish us, but to redeem and redirect us. Saul was on the road to Damascus with clear intentions—to persecute Christians. He believed he was serving God, yet his understanding was limited. Then came a divine interruption. Jesus stopped him, exposed what he could not see, and called him into a purpose far greater than his plans.
What looked like a sudden disruption was actually the beginning of his true destiny.
God’s interruptions often come when our plans, intentions, or direction are misaligned with His will—even when we mean well. The interruption itself is not the problem; the response is what matters. Saul could have resisted or questioned the encounter, but instead he surrendered. That surrender led to salvation, transformation, and a new assignment as Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles.
Faith that responds well to God’s interruptions is alert, humble, and obedient. Joseph’s life reflects this truth. Betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and imprisoned unjustly, Joseph’s plans were repeatedly disrupted. Yet through every interruption, God was redirecting him toward a greater purpose—to preserve lives and fulfill divine destiny.
Waiting on and responding to God’s interruptions requires trust. Not every disruption is from God, but when God truly intervenes, discernment and obedience determine whether we remain confused or step into destiny. Divine interruptions are invitations to realign our lives with God’s greater plan.
SEARCHLIGHT: When God interrupts your plans, He is often aligning you with a higher purpose—respond with surrender and obedience.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to recognize Your interruptions and respond with humility and faith. Align my plans with Your will and lead me into Your purpose. Amen.
