ACTIVE EVANGELISM (GOING TO THE SINNER)

ACTIVE EVANGELISM (GOING TO THE SINNER)

January 29, 2025

TEXT:”And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15 (KJV)

All true Christians are called and chosen to be active evangelists, going to the sinner with the good news of Jesus Christ. In Mark 16:15, Jesus commands us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. This is a call to action, a call to share the love of Jesus with a lost and dying world.

In Acts 1:8, Jesus gives us the power to be His witnesses, saying, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” This power is not just for a select few, but for every believer who is willing to be used by God.

Active evangelism requires us to be intentional about sharing our faith with others. It requires us to be bold, to be courageous, and to be willing to take risks. It requires us to be loving, to be compassionate, and to be genuinely concerned about the spiritual well-being of others.

As we go to the sinner with the gospel, we must remember that we are not just sharing a message, we are sharing a person – Jesus Christ. We are sharing the love, the mercy, and the forgiveness that He offers to all who will receive Him.

Moreover, we must not be ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. As Paul says in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” We must be cheerful and courageous to share the gospel, knowing that it has the power to transform lives and bring people to salvation.
