NO LONGER BUSINESS AS USUAL

TEXT: And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. (Acts 3:5)
Today, we shall focus on a topic that basically emphasises the need for constant and consistent hope in God. Our teaching shall be channelled around the life of a certain man who was reportedly lame from birth. Ever since then, until he became fully grown, he was always being carried around. Eventually, he found a “home” in front of the temple gate, popularly referred to as the “Beautiful Gate”, where he usually sat to beg for alms from those who went into and out of the temple. His means of livelihood and sustenance effectively rested on those passers-by. It had become a custom, a way of life, a norm, that if he didn’t beg for money, he would have no food. He continued leading this kind of life for a long period until the hand of the God of Elijah located him by fire!
On this day of divine appointment concerning his matter, he saw Apostles Peter and John going into the temple at the ninth hour, which was an hour of prayer. The lame man felt it was business as usual and entreated them earnestly, expecting to receive something from the apostles. However, the apostles gave him far more than what he had bargained for. He got an unexpected healing and deliverance from his long-term infirmity. What a sudden, supernatural and mysterious change of story for this man!
There are many of us today who need to tell the devil that it is no longer business as usual. Tell that problem, sickness, debt, infirmity, poverty, etc., that it is no longer business as usual. When God visits a man’s situation, no matter how terrible it may be, it will never remain business as usual.
Many have resigned to fate concerning the problems ravaging their lives. They seem not to see even a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Many who are probably dependent on others to feed or clothe them probably already concluded in their minds that they will continue like that for the rest of their lives. However, I have good news for you today, which is that you cannot continue like this. This is a wake-up call for some of us to shake off that problem constantly mesmerising our lives and tell the problem that Jehovah Jireh is already involved and it’s no longer business as usual.
Your day of miracle and divine breakthrough is here, by God’s grace. All it requires is to have faith in the power of God to supernaturally transform your life, even if surrounding circumstances state otherwise.
SEARCHLIGHT: God is able to bring about a divine turnaround in a person’s life, no matter how terrible such person’s previous life may have been.
PRAYERS: O Lord, deliver me from every hopeless and pessimistic situation in my life, in Jesus’ name.
