THE IRREPLACEABLE NATURE OF GOD’S PRESENCE 2

TEXT: “Let us fetch the ark of the covenant of the LORD… that, when it cometh among us, it may save us out of the hand of our enemies.” (1 Samuel 4:3)

Today, we shall round off the discussion on maintaining the pure and undiluted presence of God. One of the greatest treasures a believer can possess is the presence of God. Wherever God’s presence is found, there is victory, peace, guidance, protection, and favour. Therefore, God’s presence must never be taken for granted but carefully cherished and maintained.

To keep the presence of God, a believer must live a life of genuine repentance. We must never become complacent or assume that we are beyond correction. A repentant heart remains humble before God and is always willing to turn away from anything that displeases Him. God draws near to those who continually seek His mercy and cleansing. (Acts 3:19)

We must also strive to know God personally and cultivate a close relationship with Him. Christianity is more than attending church services or engaging in religious activities. It is about walking with God daily and growing in the knowledge of Him. Nothing can replace a personal relationship with God. Those who know Him intimately will enjoy the richness of His presence and understand His ways. (Philippians 3:10)

Obedience is another key to maintaining God’s presence. God desires wholehearted obedience from His children. Many people want God’s blessings but are unwilling to follow His instructions completely. The presence of God rests upon those who willingly submit to His will and walk according to His Word.

Furthermore, the Christian life is sustained not by religious rituals but by the Spirit of God. Church attendance and other Christian activities are important, but they must be accompanied by a living connection with the Holy Spirit. Without Him, spiritual life becomes empty and powerless.

Finally, we must continually seek the face of God through prayer. Prayer is not only a means of presenting our requests to God but also a way of communing with Him. Through consistent prayer, we develop intimacy with God and remain conscious of His presence in our daily lives.

Today, God is not looking for churchgoers, Bible carriers, or people who merely wear Christian labels. He desires those who love Him, obey Him, and walk in His ways. The greatest loss a believer can suffer is the loss of fellowship with God.

SEARCHLIGHT: God cannot be replaced. You either love Him or lose Him.

PRAYER: O LORD, help me to remain connected to You and never take Your presence for granted. Draw me closer to You and help me to walk in obedience to Your will, in Jesus’ mighty name.
